If a client wishes to pay the schedule in full using their bank account or credit card within the Apxium portal, you or the client has the option to use the Make payment function available in the Instalment Payments screen.
When this option is selected, you or the client will be prompted to enter the payment details to process the payment for the remaining amount in the schedule. The payment will be taken via the SOR facility so Apxium receives the money and therefore the system will not do a payment recourse against the firm. This method will finalise the SOR schedule (see below) and can be used as an alternative to cancelling the schedule which triggers a recourse payment.
However, if a client sends their payment directly to the firm's account, you cannot use this option.
The schedule needs to be cancelled on our end (that triggers a payment recourse against the firm's account) and the remaining amount will appear as outstanding again. You can then allocate the payment you received via your accounting package as an external or manual allocation and that should sync to the Apxium system and makes both systems balance.
